The Foundation

The Rudolf von Tobel Academic Foundation was founded in 1998 by Rudolf’s widow, Helga von Tobel. It aims to support deserving cellists.

The materials owned by the Rudolf von Tobel Academic Foundation, from Rudolf and Helga von Tobel’s estate, are held by the Burgerbibliothek Bern; sound recordings are held in the Swiss National Sound Archives.

 

Applications

In line with the Rudolf von Tobel Academic Foundation’s statutes, the Foundation aims to «support deserving cellists».

Pursuant to the Foundation’s organisational regulation, the term «deserving» encompasses the following aspects: talent, ability, hard work, intelligence and good character.

As a cellist, you are welcome to apply for funding for educational purposes. The following documents are to be submitted via email:
